Profile

GIULIETTA ROZ a native of Turin, after Classical High School attends the School of Architecture at the Politecnico di Torino; in conjunction with her studies in Turin, she attends the Faculté de Géographie et Aménagement de territoire, in Aix en Provence and the Ecole d’Architecture in Luminy (Marseille).

Giulietta hands out her thesis in time for graduation: her work, entitled “The not combustible buildings”, presents her research done in loco at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada. From 1995 to 2000 she is a teaching assistant for the courses of Architecture and Interior Design and Descriptive Geometry at the School of Architecture at the Politecnico di Torino.

In 1993/94, while still a student, she teaches History of Art and Drawing at two different high schools and Arts at a middle school. After graduating, from 1998 to 2000, she accepts part-time teaching positions at the same schools.
In addition to her didactic activity, from 1995 on, Giulietta starts her own business as an architect, attending to various planning projects: industrial, commercial, residential, funeral and wine.

After five years of combining teaching with the profession of architect, Giulietta chooses to dedicate herself solely to the profession.

An aspect of her profession she enjoys at most is visiting the various building sites she plans for; this takes her to different Italian locations: from the Langhe countryside to Tuscany, from Turin and Milan to Trieste, from the coasts of Liguria to the island of Sardinia.

From 2001 to March of 2009 Giulietta also works for a real estate firm in quality of “Director of Image and Communications”.

Her inspirational environment is the countryside, where she lives with her son Tommaso and her daughter Cecilia; her new studio recently built, with traditional materials, immersed in the silent atmosphere of apple trees, epitomizes Giulietta’s architectonic philosophy: a space integrated in the surrounding landscape, at the service of man, work and peace of mind.

Since May 2017 Giulietta has joined Oberto Oberti Architecture and Urban design inc. in Vancouver with the specific role of assisting in the design of the Valemount Glacier Destination because of her unique background and her desire of an international experience.
